Do you ever notice in some conversations you end on a very uncomfortable subject? Take for instance the last conversation I had with Row and JP.
We were discussing how the toilet seat at JP's apartment weirded us all out. It's one of those soft toilet seats that you sink into, uncomfortably so. We all agreed it was reminiscent of "grandmas toilet seat." Anyway, the conversation led to:
Row: I won't sit on those toilet seats. I usually hover.
Samuri: No, no me too.
JP: Yeah...
This is where (and I can't say for sure if JP or Row noticed, but I suppose Row will think about it now...) I noticed that there was a natural pause in the conversation. Normally during natural pauses you think about what you just said and think about a connection or bridge into the next related or unrelated topic.
The last part of that conversation was about hovering when we pee. It was, in hindsight, a really awkward pause in the conversation.
