why boston is ridiculous

i left for school really early this morning so i decided to walk instead of taking the t. i didn't feel that bad when i saw a t go by. but then another one went by. and then another one. it's like boston was telling me i made a bad decision. then another t went by. it was insane! i decided to count how many t's i saw on my way from harvard ave to boston university central. here it goes:

6 inbound trains
13 outbound trains

Boston - Boston University - Green Line by wallyg.

most of the inbound trains came in the span of my walk between harvard ave to st. paul street. i actually happened to look at my clock at st. paul street and it was 9:15. that means that there was a train every 2.5 minutes from 9 to 9:15 and then none until 9:25 (or later, because i went into the gsu so i lost track). as for the outbound trains, they came in pretty regular intervals...there were just so many of them!! from 9 to 9:25 there was an outbound train going by every 2 minutes.

this is pretty amazing considering that in the afternoon when i go home (between 3-4, typically) there is a train MAYBE every 7 minutes if i'm lucky but i usually end up walking half way and then taking the bus. anyway, it didn't really matter today cause i walked to class anyway but i'm sure if i take the t any other day this week none will come.

on another note, i love my roommates.
